Rental Terms & Conditions

DRIVER

The minimum age for renting scooters or motorbikes up to 125cc is 18 years. For any other vehicle, the minimum age is 21.

The driver must present:

A valid driver’s licence issued at least one year prior to the rental date. Citizens of non-EU countries must also present a valid international driver’s licence in addition to their national driver’s licence. The renter confirms that he/she holds a valid driving licence required for the rented vehicle and that this licence is valid and recognized in Greece. We do not accept in any case, provisional licenses, learner permits or temporary licenses. The renter bears sole responsibility for ensuring compliance with all legal requirements. The company accepts no liability in case the licence is not valid or recognized.

A national ID-card or passport.

A valid credit card.

RULES OF OPERATION

All vehicles are GPS-monitored, and violations of the regulations listed below will be dealt with immediately !

The maximum daily mileage for ATVs and scooters is 100 km. / day. Every additional km will be charged with € 0,50.

ATVs may only be operated within a 40 km radius of the rental station. Any vehicle recovery or roadside assistance outside this area will be charged at € 150.

The maximum speed for ATVs is 65 km/h. In the case of repeated GPS-registered violations, the ride will be terminated, and a fee of € 150 will be charged for vehicle recovery (no refund will be given for unused rental time).

Riding off-road is strictly prohibited. If you are detected by GPS operating the vehicle off-road, the ride will be terminated immediately and you will be charged with a fine of € 250 + € 150 recovery cost for the vehicle (no refund will be given for unused rental time). Off-road includes any driving on non-paved surfaces, dirt roads, beaches, fields, forest tracks, or any surface not classified as a public road.

A helmet must be worn at all times while operating any vehicle.

In case of losing the vehicle´s keys the driver will be charged with € 80.

In case of losing a helmet the driver will be charged with € 50.

Use of the vehicle outside the main island of Crete is strictly prohibited and will result in a fine of € 1000.

The renter is solely responsible for any traffic violations and fines incurred during the rental period.

The company reserves the right to charge the renter’s credit card for any damages, fines, or violations of these terms.

RETURNS

The vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel as when it was collected. If returned with less fuel, the renter will be charged for the missing amount. No refund will be issued for vehicles returned with more fuel than when collected.

The vehicle must be returned in a clean condition. Otherwise, a cleaning fee of € 25 will be charged.

The return time for one-day rentals is 9:00 PM. Late returns may result in additional charges and may affect insurance coverage. Vehicles returned late (a grace period of 30 minutes applies) will be charged for an additional full day.

ACCIDENT

In the event of an accident, the renter must immediately inform the company and the police, and provide the official Police Accident Report upon return of the vehicle. Failure to do so will void the C.D.W., and the renter will be fully responsible for all damages. The renter must wait for the arrival of police and insurance representatives. If the renter is responsible for the accident, an administrative fee of € 15 will be charged and the renter agrees to pay for the loss of use of any damaged vehicle or equipment covered by this agreement, at a rate of € 150 per day from the date of damage until the vehicle is repaired and returned to rental service, not to exceed 14 days.

INSURANCE

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) – The renter´s liability for damage to the rented vehicle is limited as follows:

For vehicles 100cc to 150cc: The renter is liable up to € 300 + VAT per incident.

For quads up to 440cc: The renter is liable up to € 400 + VAT per incident.

For quads 450cc and above, as well as all buggies: The renter is liable up to € 800 + VAT per incident.

The renter must notify us immediately of any incident or as soon as they become aware of it. If damage is reported only upon return of the vehicle, the incident will not be covered by the insurance, and the renter will be held fully liable for all related costs. Please note that damage to tires, the windshield, windows, or the underside of the vehicle is not covered by any liability limitation.

What the insurance does not cover:

Use of the vehicle off-road or on non-authorized unpaved roads.

Use of the vehicle after an accident.

Driving under the influence of alcohol or other substances.

Use of the vehicle by drivers not listed in the rental contract.

Inappropriate or negligent driving.

Damage resulting from violations of the Road Traffic Code.

Damage caused by the use of incorrect fuel.

Willful or reckless damage (e.g. burnt clutch or tires)

Damage to the undercarriage, interior, or tires of the vehicle.

Exceeding the maximum number of passengers permitted by the vehicle’s registration documents.

Use of the vehicle after the expiration of the rental period stated in the contract.

Damage resulting from accidents not reported to both the company and the police at the time of the incident.

Any damage to tires, windshield, windows, or the underside of the vehicle is expressly excluded from insurance coverage.

For ATVs, scooters, and motorcycles, there is no insurance coverage in the event of theft unless an additional theft protection policy has been purchased. The renter is fully liable for the full replacement value of the vehicle in case of theft.

We reserve the right to record your credit card information. If, in the event of damage, a charge made by us is disputed with the credit card company despite your prior authorization, you will incur additional administrative fees of € 300, as well as further legal and court costs.

PARTIAL INVALIDITY / CHOICE OF LAW

If any provision of this agreement is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. This agreement, including this covenant, waiver, and release, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece.
